creative day at the street fair

Last Sunday was the Yandina Street Fair and we spent time outside promoting our art group in the local community. I had bought a some water colours and paper the day before so decided to have my first go at water colour painting. I had such fun just playing with what I could do with the water colour paints and paper. It was fun just playing with no adgenda. Photos of what I ended up with......

time for creative inspiration

Yesterday I spent the day in Brisbane around the city. What an amazingly beautiful day it was, so blessed to spend it with some precious friends and enjoy the creativity of our creator and the creativity of his creations.
I was inspired by a photography piece at GOMA where the artist took photos of all the buildings on the sunset strip in 1966 and put them all together. I have this idea that I would like to do the same thing with my street and make it into a collage. So I hope to do that soon.

I was also inspired by some of the music related art at GOMA. These are a few picture reflections of the day.

playing with colour

I had fun with a workshop at work yesterday. An artist friend of mine came and helped us to experiment with different aspects of colour, it was so fun to not just do the theory but play with creating colours and becoming more familiar with the colour wheel. Now just to get onto more playing with colour.

Yum Yum

Well it's been a big week, with all that has been going on with lots of trips to the hospital to visit mum, my creativity has been more practical. However I did do a devotion at work on wednesday with the theme of life and we journaled, sketched etc.. our thought and priorities in life.

Last night I got a bit mroe creative with new lights to decorate my lounge room, as well as yummy grilled cheese, with basil petso, baked cherry tomatoes with Balsamic and parmesan cheese.Very Yummy!!!

life painting

I woke up in the morning with the thoughts of life and the word life. I ended up attempting a small painting of Life using the idea of life bursting forth from the word life. I am enjoying the creative challenge, it's been good to take some time to be creative and be a reflection of our creator.
